Fiction

When Jean, a 55-year old police officer, finds his son Maxime and his partner dead in a hotel room, the autopsy reveals an inexplicable seven minute gap between the two deaths. This fracture in time opens something Jean cannot close.

As he steps into the world his son kept at a distance, a world of nightlife, the BISOU club, and bodies moving through the dark, he draws closer to Fabien. Jean begins to inhabit a territory where grief slips into desire and where silence holds what was never spoken.

7 Minutes traces this slow shift as loss compels Jean to re-examine not only his love for his son but the way he looked at him and at himself.
